Services run from early morning until late evening. The River Bus Express is a service that runs before and after events at the O2 in North Greenwich. It is a fast and frequent service, with departures from major London piers every 20 minutes.

Routes:
Woolwich Arsenal Pier – London Eye (Waterloo/Embankment)
Bankside Pier (Monument) – St George Wharf Pier (Vauxhall)
Blackfriers – Putney Pier
Canary Wharf – Hilton Docklands – cross river service

All River Bus boats guarantee you a seat, serve snacks and refreshments, most boats have accessible toilets.

Tickets: Travel card (oyster/paper) does not cover the boat ticket, but there is a discount with it. Adult ticket costs between £4.70 – £14.

Sightseeing Boat Tours are available from Westminster pier. There is a tour around every half an hour. Prices are from around £14. Tours with lunch starts from £35 or with dinner and music from around £85. Find a service provider here River tours.

Woolwich Ferry

The Woolwich Ferry travels across the river between Woolwich and North Woolwich. It is a free river crossing service for pedestrians, cyclists, cars, vans and lorries. It runs every 5 to 10 minutes throughout the day from Monday- Friday, and every 15 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays.

Ferry Hours: Monday to Friday 6:10 to 20.00 – last boat from south to north 19:45
Saturday and public holidays 6:10 – 20:00 – last boat from south to north 19:45
Sundays 11:30-19:30 – Last trip south to north 19:15.

Emirates Air Line/Cable Cars

These cable cars take you across above the river Thames. One car accommodate up to 10 people.

The trip takes about 10 minutes. During peak times (7 am – 9 am Monday-Friday) the trip takes about 5 minutes. After 7 pm you can get extended night flights, which take about 12-13 minutes and play music and videos inside the cars.

Use your Oyster or contactless payment card to pay for the trip. There is no paper ticket. Adult ticket price is £4, child ticket is £2, free for under 5 years old.

Monday – Thursday 7 am to 9 pm,
Friday 7 am to 3 pm,
Saturday 8 am to 3 pm,
Sunday 9 am to 9 pm.
